Set up the solution in ArcGIS Desktop

To get started using Coordinate Conversion in ArcGIS Desktop, complete the set-up steps below. Once complete, explore the solution by completing the Workflows section.

  1. Download the Coordinate Conversion solution.
  2. In your file browser, browse to the downloaded solution.
  3. Unzip the solution.

Set up the solution in ArcGIS Pro

Coordinate Conversion is available for ArcGIS Pro as an add-in.

To set up the solution in ArcGIS Pro, complete the following steps:

  1. In the ArcGIS Pro folder, open the folder for your version of the software.
  2. Double-click the CoordinateConversion.esriAddInX file.
  3. Click Install Add-In on the Esri ArcGIS Add-In Installation Utility.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Verify installation:
    1. Open ArcGIS Pro.
    2. Select About ArcGIS Pro.
    3. Select Add-In Manager.
    4. The Coordinate Conversion add-in should be listed under My Add-Ins, and can be found on the Add-In tab.

Set up the solution in ArcMap

Coordinate Conversion is available for ArcMap as an add-in.

To set up the solution in ArcMap, complete the following steps:

  1. In the ArcMap folder, open the folder for your version of the software.
  2. Double-click the CoordinateConversion.esriAddIn file.
  3. Click Install Add-In on the Esri ArcGIS Add-In Installation Utility.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Verify installation:
    1. Open ArcMap.
    2. Click Customize > Add-In Manager.
    3. The Coordinate Conversion add-in should be listed under My Add-Ins.
  6. Click Customize > Customize Mode.
  7. Choose the Commands tab.
  8. Choose Add-In Controls from Categories.
  9. Drag the Coordinate Conversion tool from Commands onto an existing toolbar.
  10. Close the Customize window.
