Intelligence Configuration for ArcGIS Pro

The Intelligence Configuration for ArcGIS Pro (ICAP) is a workstation for intelligence analysis. ICAP Consists of a Managed Configuration of ArcGIS Pro, along with Add-ins, Geoprocessing Tools, and Project Templates. All together, these components provide a streamlined user experience and specialized tools to aid intelligence analysts in their workflows.

ICAP allows you to do the following:

  • Streamline data management and symbolization with the Batch Import tool and custom Styles.
  • Turn spatial queries into conditions and receive notifications when your data satisfies them in the Alerts pane.
  • Visualize spatial and non-spatial relationships between entities with Link Charts.
  • Visualize your data along a temporal axis with Timelines.
  • Follow Tasks that narrate workflows customized to specific intelligence disciplines.
  • Use the Production tab which contains tools needed to package, share, print, and export data and products

Minimum system requirements for the ArcGIS Platform can be found on the Support website. For more specific system requirements, select the appropriate component of the software below:

Requirement Description
  • ArcGIS Pro 2.3 (Standard)

What you get

Once you've downloaded ICAP and installed it on your computer, you can explore the following components:

Item Name Description

Navigation Buttons Open in Pro A button that closes the current project in ICAP and opens it in ArcGIS Pro. This button is located in the View tab.
Go to Start Page A button that closes the current project and navigates to the ICAP start page. This button is located in the View tab.
Project Item Timeline A view that plots multiple layers in a map along a temporal axis.
Chart Type Link Chart A chart that examines relationships between entities.
Map Notes Overlay Map Notes for sketching Overlay features, such as Key and Restricted Terrain, Mobility Corridors, and Areas of Interest.
COA Map Notes for sketching Course of Action features, such as Phase Lines and Objectives.
HUMINT Map notes for sketching Human Intelligence features, such as Collection Areas and Meeting Points.
SIGINT Map notes for sketching Signals Intelligence features, such as Towers and Equipment.
Tools Batch Import A geoprocessing tool that takes an input folder with multiple data file types and converts them to feature classes in a single geodatabase. This button is located in the Data tab.
Alerts A custom pane for creating conditions from spatial queries and examining the resulting alerts. This button is located in the Analysis tab.
Find Overlaps A geoprocessing tool that takes input polygon layers and finds groups of overlapping polygons. This button is located in the Analysis tab.
Blind Spot Analysis A set of geoprocessing tools that take input points, create buffers, and then create a time-enabled series of output polygons that showcases blind spots, and in conjunction with use of the Time Slider, shows how these blind spots change over time
Solutions Military Tools for ArcGIS Foundational tools that include converting coordinates, measuring geodesic distances, conducting visibility analysis, and creating features with military symbology.
Crime Analysis Foundational tools that support crime analysis workflows, including tactical and strategic analysis, investigative analysis, and information sharing needs.
