Image Discovery is a configuration of ArcGIS and a JavaScript application designed to let you search, discover, filter, and manipulate imagery from the web. Once relevant imagery is discovered it can be exported in many different formats, including a web map.
Image Discovery requires specific technical experience and software. Minimum system requirements for the ArcGIS Platform can be found on the Support website.
Image Discovery is supported on Portal for ArcGIS 10.2 or ArcGIS Online organizations.

When you download the Image Discovery application the download includes the following:

documentation | A folder containing install directions and viewer references. | |
site | A folder containing the Image Observables application files. | |
license.txt | A text file with the description of Apache License 2.0 terms and conditions. | |
README.md | A markdown file with basic instructions, resources, and requirements for Image Discovery. | |
screenshot.png | A screenshot of Image Discovery. This can be used as the thumbnail for the Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online item after deploying the application. |
