Overview

Plans and Drawings is a configuration of Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS that can be used by public works staff to identify the geographic extent of record plans and drawings and index the location of the source document. Once indexed, Plans and Drawings can then be used to access the plans and drawings in the office or the field.

Requirements

To deploy Plans and Drawings with the ArcGIS Solutions Deployment Tool requires specific software.

What you get

Plans and Drawings can be deployed in your ArcGIS organization without downloading the solution. When you deploy Plans and Drawings in your organization, you'll find the following:

Applications Plan Catalog An application used by public works staff to access a catalog of record drawings, as-builts, and other source documents.
Plan Index An application used by public works staff to index the geographic extent of record plans and drawings.
Maps Plan Catalog A map used in the Plan Catalog application to access a catalog of record drawings, as-builts, and other source documents.
Plan Index A map used in the Plan Index application to index record drawings, as-builts, and other source documents.
Feature layer PlansDrawings A feature layer used to store record drawings, as-builts, and other source documents critical to the management of public works infrastructure.

The Plans and Drawings solution includes a collection of applications that can be used to index and access record plans.

  • Take the Plan Index application for a test drive if you'd like to see how mapping technicians and other public works staff can identify the geographic extent of record plans and drawings, and index the location of the source document.
  • Take the Plan Catalog application for a test drive if you'd like to see how public works staff can access record drawings in the office or the field.

This try it now experience has been configured to index plans and drawings and provide access to a catalog or record drawings in your local government.
