Set up editing map

The Public Land Survey Editing map works with the Parcel Editor toolbar to organize control points, townships, first divisions, second divisions, and special surveys in a fabric data model.

To add the toolbars, complete the following steps:

  1. Browse to the MapsandGeodatabase folder and open PublicLandSurveyEditing.mxd.
  2. In ArcMap, open the Parcel Editor toolbar by browsing to Customize > Toolbars > Parcel Editor.
  3. In ArcMap, open the Attribute Assistant toolbar by browsing to Customize > Toolbars > Attribute Assistant.
  4. Begin using the editing map and the Parcel Editing Tools supported in ArcGIS for Desktop.

When you're ready to use the editing map with your data, start by opening the PublicLandSurveyEditing.mxd. It can be used to add new control points and construct PLSS boundaries and divisions.
