Overview

The ArcGIS Online for Environment and Natural Resources solution allows Natural Resources organizations to use the entire platform to collaborate, catalog, and share maps and applications with members of your organization, other state organizations or constituents of your state. You will utilize this model organization to set up an ArcGIS organization for your Environment and Natural Resources organization.

Additionally, ArcGIS Online for Environment and Natural Resources is used by organizations to lay the foundation for creating a collaboration pattern across state organizations, establishing a pattern for each state organization to use the platform and fosters sharing and collaboration across each pattern.

The model organization will show you how to:

  • Configure ArcGIS Online as a mapping platform for your organization.
  • Create groups that support the sharing and functional needs of your organization.
  • Organize map services, author maps, and configure apps for both your internal and external end users.
  • Leverage the ArcGIS for State Government solution to create and deploy useful maps and apps in your organization.
  • Invite users into your organization to fill key roles in your online GIS system.
  • Configure your organization's home page

Your specific configuration may vary depending on the functional responsibilities of your organization(s) and the maturity of your ArcGIS implementation.

To get started, download the ArcGIS for Environment and Natural Resources model organization contents. Then, configure the ArcGIS Online for Environment and Natural Resources pattern that best addresses your organization using the documents and icons.
