Water Utility Network Reporting toolbar

The Water Utility Network Reporting toolbar is a series of reporting tools to improve a map technician's experience when working with infrastructure data.

Water Utility Network Reporting toolbar
Tool Tool Name Description
Valve Isolation Trace Valve Isolation Trace Identifies all valves on a Geometric Network that must be shut off to isolate a section of main. All selectable features effected by the trace are selected, drawn as graphics or returned in a set of layers. You can define additional options in the configuration file.
Re-Run Isolation Trace Re-Run Isolation Trace Runs an isolation trace on the geometric network features from flags defined on the network. To select mains in the trace results, press the CTRL key when running the process.
Secondary Trace Secondary Trace Disables all selected valves returned from the Isolation Trace and re-runs the trace using the flags on the network. By default, mains are not selected. To select mains in the trace results, press the CTRL key when running the process.
Upstream Trace Upstream Trace Runs an upstream trace at the user-defined location on a geometric network.
Downstream Trace Downstream Trace Runs a downstream trace at the user-defined location on a geometric network.
Flow Accumulation at Location Flow Accumulation at Location Uses weights (or feature counts if no weights are specified) to calculate downstream or upstream flow accumulation for the selected main. You can specify the direction and weight in the configuration file.
Add a Flag Add a Flag Creates a junction or an edge flag at the user-defined location.
Add a Barrier Add a Barrier Creates a junction or an edge barrier at the user-defined location.
Remove a Flag or Barrier Remove a Flag or Barrier Removes a junction or an edge flag.
Batch load barriers from a layer Batch load barriers from a layer Tool to load barriers from a layer.
Profiling Tool Profiling Tool Runs a trace between two selected points (for example manholes) and build a profile graph with the results. You can specify the details in the configuration file.
Summary Isolation Trace Summary Isolation Trace Runs the isolation trace on selected mains and store the number of valves, meters, and critical meters in a separate feature class. Using this tool on a large selection set can take a long time. You can define the summary layer and additional details in the configuration file.
Summary Flow Accumulation Summary Flow Accumulation Uses weights (or feature counts if no weights are specified) to calculate upstream or downstream flow accumulation and store each result in a field. You can specify the field, direction, and weight in the configuration file.
Change Operable Status of a Valve Change Operable Status of a Valve Changes the status of a valve from operable to non-operable. When this tool is enabled, select a valve to change its status. You can configure the operable and non-operable field in the configuration file.
Clear Trace Results Clear Trace Results Clears all flags, barriers, results, and selected features.
Export Selected Items to Excel Export Selected Items to Excel Exports all selected features to Excel.
Identify Selected Identify Selected Loads all currently selected features into the Identify dialog box.
Select Junctions by Edge Count Select Junctions by Edge Count Presents a dialog box for selecting all junctions (points) in a geometric network by the number of edges to which they connect.
Attribute Transfer Attribute Transfer Reads the loaded.config and loads the layer and field mappings to the attribute transfer tools and presents the attribute transfer dialog.
Show Config Information Show Config Information Presents a dialog box that allows you to view the currently loaded configuration file along with its location, and load another configuration file.
