Publish the mosaic dataset created and populated in the previous workflow as a cached image service. See Publishing raster data as an image service for more information.

1. Open ArcMap.
2. Share the mosaic dataset as an Image Service.

Set the following properties in the Service Editor window:

• In the Caching tab, set the image service to draw Using tiles from a cache. See Creating an image service cache for more information.
• In the Caching tab, select the appropriate tiling scheme and the minimum and maximum scales for the image service.
• In the Item Description tab, fill out the Item Summary, Tags, and Description.
• Use the Analyze button at the top of the Service Editor window to analyze the mosaic dataset for any errors.
3. Publish the image service.
