A drop zone (DZ) is a specific area upon which airborne troops, equipment, or supplies are airdropped. The Drop Zone Suitability template provides a tool to identify suitable areas for drop zones. The DZ Suitable Areas tool analyzes obstacle, slope, and vegetation data within a designated area.
Drop Zone Suitability requires specific technical experience and software. Minimum system requirements for the ArcGIS Platform can be found on the Support website.
