Analysis tasks

Analysis tasks contain workflows for analyzing suitability, nonspatial relationships, and visibility. Access task items from Tasks on the Analysis tab.

Blind Spot Analysis task

This task includes the following workflow:

  • Blind Spot Overlay with starting and ending times—Use the blind spot tools to create a time-enabled series of overlay polygons that highlight gaps in coverage over time.

Create New Conditions task

This task includes the following workflow:

  • Create an Alert—Create conditions to look for changes in your datasets and view alerts of the results.

Drop Zone Slope Analysis task

This task includes the following workflow:

  • Drop Zone Suitability—Map suitable areas for drop zones using the Drop Zone Suitability geoprocessing tool.

HLZ Analysis task

This task includes the following workflows:

  • GeoCover Reclassify—Reclassify GeoCover data with a raster function for use as a land cover component in HLZ analysis.
  • NLCD Reclassify—Reclassify National Land Cover Database (NLCD) data with a raster function as a land cover component in HLZ analysis.
  • DOF To Obstacle Features—Reclassify Digital Obstruction File (DOF) with a geoprocessing tool as an obstruction component in HLZ analysis.
  • Generate Obstacle Features—Reclassify a generic feature class with a geoprocessing tool as an obstruction component in HLZ analysis.
  • Slope Reclassify—Reclassify slope from raster elevation data as a slope component in HLZ analysis.
  • HLZ analysis from Reclassify and Obstacle Inputs—Combine land cover, obstacles, and slope into HLZ categories: Acceptable and Acceptable with Caution.

Map Asset Ranges

This task includes the following workflow:

  • Map Range Rings of SIGINT Assets—Use range ring tools to visualize the range of SIGINT assets.

Off-Road Mobility Slope Analysis task

This task includes the following workflows:

  • Off Road Mobility—Conduct off-road mobility analysis, also known as Cross-Country Mobility (CCM), using the Slope and Remap raster functions.
  • Least Cost Path—Create a least-cost path using the Mobility Least Cost Path geoprocessing tool.

Predictive Suitability Analysis task

This task includes the following workflow:

  • Predictive Suitability Analysis—Use the ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst extension predictive suitability tools.

Visibility workflows

This task includes the following workflows:

  • Exploratory Analysis in 3D—Use exploratory tools such as slice, viewshed, and view dome.
  • Visibility Analysis with Military Tools for ArcGIS—Create radial lines of sight and linear lines of sight.
