Parcels batch job

Below is a list of the data quality control checks, broken out by groups, included in the Parcels batch job delivered with Data Reviewer for Tax Parcels. These preconfigured checks are just a sample of the important checks that can be used for validating, maintaining, and ensuring the integrity of parcel fabric data.

Recommended Control Checks This group contains recommended checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Control points with no Name value (New).
  • Control point Type is not populated (New).
  • Duplicate Control points (New).
  • Points that are within 1 foot of the fabric points, which are not associated.
Recommended Encumbrance Checks This group contains recommended checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Encumbrances with invalid geometry:
    • null geometries
    • empty geometries
    • features with empty envelopes
    • non-simple geometries
  • Encumbrances with no Name value.
  • Unpopulated Encumbrance Type field when the Type value is 9.
Recommended Lots and Units Checks This group contains recommended checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Lots and Units with invalid geometry:
    • null geometries
    • empty geometries
    • features with empty envelopes
    • non-simple geometries
  • Lots and Units with no Name value.
  • Unpopulated Lot and Unit Type field when the Type value is 6.
  • Lots and Units that cross Subdivision boundaries (New).
  • Lots and Units that have a sliver or a gap between them (New).
Recommended Plans Checks This group contains recommended checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Plan records with no Name value (New)
  • Plan records where the Name is not unique (New)
  • Unpopulated Legal Date field (New)
Recommended Points Checks This group contains recommended checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Curve center point features within 0.2 feet of each other.
Recommended Subs and Condos Checks This group contains recommended checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Subs and Condos with invalid geometry:
    • null geometries
    • empty geometries
    • features with empty envelopes
    • non-simple geometries
  • Subs and Condos with no Name value.
  • Sub or Condo Type field not populated properly when the Type value is 5.
  • Subs and Condos where the Legal Start Date is not populated (New).
Recommended Tax Parcel Checks This group contains recommended checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Tax Parcels with invalid geometry:
    • null geometries.
    • empty geometries.
    • features with empty envelopes.
    • non-simple geometries.
  • Tax Parcels with no Name value.
  • Unpopulated Legal Start Date field (New).
  • Historic Tax Parcels where Legal End Date or History Type are not populated.
  • Parcel polygons with the Name field set to a default value.
Optional Control Checks This group contains optional checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Invalid values for fields with an associated Coded Value or Range domain (New).
Optional Encumbrance Checks This group contains optional checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Invalid values for fields with an associated Coded Value or Range domain (New).
  • Unclosed Encumbrance parcels (New).
  • Non-Encumbrance related fields that are populated.
    • Sub Or Condo Type (New).
    • Block Number (New).
    • Lot or Unit Type (New).
  • Encumbrance that is not associated to a Plan record (New).
  • Historic Encumbrances where Legal End Date or History Type are not populated (New).
  • Encumbrances with Misclose Ratio values greater than 1:5,000.
Optional Lines Checks This group contains optional checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Invalid values for fields with an associated Coded Value or Range domain (New).
  • Parcel Fabric line features with COGO distances greater than their actual distances. Acceptance thresholds can be set for the ComputedMinusObserved value and any values greater than the threshold will be returned as errors. This check uses a definition query that limits its search to boundary lines and road frontage lines.
  • Lines where the Legal Start Date does not match the related parcel's Legal Start Date (New).
Optional Lots and Units Checks This group contains optional checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Invalid values for fields with an associated Coded Value or Range domain (New).
  • Unclosed Lot and Unit parcels (New).
  • Non-Lot and Unit related fields that are populated
    • Sub Or Condo Type (New).
    • Encumbrance Type (New).
  • Lots and Units that are not associated to a Plan record (New).
  • Lots and Units where the Legal Start Date does not match the associated Plan's Legal Date (New).
  • Historic Lots and Units where Legal End Date or History Type are not populated (New).
  • Lots and Units with Misclose Ratio values greater than 1:5,000.
  • Lots and Units that are overlapping another Lot or Unit (New).
Optional Plans Checks This group contains optional checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • Plan records which has no associated parcel feature (New).
  • Invalid values for fields with an associated Coded Value or Range domain (New).
Optional PLSS Checks This group contains optional checks that have been configured to identify the following:
  • PLSS parcels with invalid geometry:
    • null geometries.
    • empty geometries.
    • features with empty envelopes.
    • non-simple geometries.
  • Invalid values for fields with an associated Coded Value or Range domain (New).
  • PLSS parcels where the Legal Start Date does not match the associated Plan's Legal Date (New).
  • Unclosed PLSS parcels (New).
  • Non-PLSS related fields that are populated
    • Sub or Condo Type (New).
    • Sub or Condo Number (New).
    • Lot or Unit Type (New).
    • Block Number (New).
    • Encumbrance Type (New).
  • Historic PLSS parcels where Legal End Date or History Type are not populated (New).
  • PLSS parcels with Misclose Ratio values greater than 1:5,000.
  • Townships and Sections with unpopulated Principal Meridian field (New).
  • Townships with unpopulated Township and Range Number fields (New).
  • Townships with incorrectly populated Township and Range Fraction fields (New).
  • Townships with unpopulated Township and Range Direction fields (New).
  • Non-Township fields are populated
    • Section Type (New).
    • Quarter Section Type (New).
  • Sections with no Name value.
  • Sections where Section Type is not properly populated (New).
  • Non-Section related fields that are populated

  • Parcel Identification Number values that contain nonnumeric characters or are not 10 characters in length (New).
