To assign new asset identifiers to features collected in the field, complete the following steps:

1. Start an edit session and select the Pole layer to edit.
2. Select all the Pole features in the map.
3. On the Attribute Assistant toolbar, click the Run manual rules for selected features button.
4. Stop editing and save your edits.
5. Start an edit session and select the Streetlight layer to edit.
6. Select all the Streetlight features in the map.
7. On the Attribute Assistant toolbar, click the Run manual rules for selected features button.
8. Stop editing and save your edits.
9. Right-click on the Poles layer in the Table of Contents window and click Edit Features > Synchronize Local Edits with Server.
10. Right-click on the Streetlights layer in the Table of Contents window and click Edit Features > Synchronize Local Edits with Server.
