Explore citizen science reports

You will assume the role of either a conservation staff member or a member of the general public looking to explore the submitted citizen science reports. You will use the Citizen Science Dashboard to filter and explore the dataset to see what types of observations have been submitted.

  1. In a browser, go to the Citizen Science Dashboard application.
  2. Use the filters in the left-hand panel to update the map, charts, count, and list to show a subset of the data. For example, filter the reports to only those with a Verified status.
  3. Click the bars on the serial charts to further filter the map, charts, count, and list. For example, select several of the observation categories.
  4. Click a report on the list to review the details of the report.
  5. Continue exploring and applying filters to reveal more details about the citizen science program. When finished, close the Citizen Science Dashboard application.
