Create maps

Property Lister provides a way for real estate professionals to submit buildings and sites that are available for sale or lease. The following maps must be configured to collect properties in your community:

Property Lister maps

The Crowdsource Reporter configurable application template consumes maps that are accessible to the general public and named users in your ArcGIS organization. Create a Property Lister map and share it with citizens you serve. They can then access the application on their smartphone, tablets, and desktop computers.

To create a Property Lister map, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
  2. Create a map to collect buildings for sale or lease from the general public, by completing the following workflows:
    • Choose a basemap.
    • Add the AvailableProperties layers to the map. Delete all the layers except AvailableProperties - Buildings and AvailableProperties - BuildingComment. Rename these two layers Buildings and Building Comments.
    • Configure pop-up for the Buildings and Building Comments layers using the list of field attributes option.
    • Save the map as Buildings and add the following tags and summary:
      • Tags: Property Lister, Economic Development, State Government
      • Summary: A map used to report buildings for sale or lease.
  3. Browse to the map and edit the item details:
    • Thumbnail image: Your image.
    • Description: A map used to report buildings for sale or lease.
  4. Share the map with everyone and your Property Lister group.
  5. Create a map to collect sites for sale or lease from the general public, by completing the following workflows:
    • Choose a basemap.
    • Add the AvailableProperties layers to the map. Delete all the layers except AvailableProperties - Sites and AvailableProperties - SiteComment. Rename these two layers Sites and Site Comments.
    • Configure pop-up for the Sites and Site Comments layers using the list of field attributes option.
    • Save the map as Sites and add the following tags and summary:
      • Tags: Property Lister, Economic Development, State Government
      • Summary: A map used to report buildings for sale or lease.
  6. Browse to the map and edit the item details:
    • Thumbnail image: Your image.
    • Description: A map used to report sites for sale or lease.
  7. Share the map with everyone and your Property Lister group.
  8. Set map options by disabling Routing, Measure Tool, and Basemap Selector.

Property Listing Reviewer maps

The Crowdsource Manager configurable application template consumes maps that are accessible to named users in your ArcGIS organization. Create a Property Listing Reviewer map and share it with state government personnel responding to reports submitted by the general public. They can then access the application on their tablets and desktop computers.

To create a Property Listing Reviewer map, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
  2. Create a map to manage reports of buildings for sale or lease from the general public, by completing the following workflows:
    • Choose a basemap.
    • Add the AvailableProperties layers to the map. Delete all the layers except AvailableProperties - Buildings and AvailableProperties - BuildingComment. Rename these two layers Buildings and Building Comments.
    • Configure pop-up for the Buildings and Building Comments layers using the list of field attributes option.
    • Save the map as Manage Building Submissions and add the following tags and summary:
      • Tags: Property Lister, Economic Development, State Government
      • Summary: A map used to manage reports of buildings for sale or lease.
