To assign new asset identifiers to features collected in the field, complete the following steps:

1. Start an edit session and select the Pole layer to edit.
2. Select all the Pole features in the map.
3. On the Attribute Assistant toolbar, click the Run manual rules for selected features button.
4. Save your edits and stop editing.
5. Start an edit session and select the Sign layer to edit.
6. Select all the Sign features in the map.
7. On the Attribute Assistant toolbar, click the Run manual rules for selected features button.
8. Save your edits and stop editing.
9. Right-click on the Poles layer in the Table of Contents window and click Edit Features > Synchronize Local Edits with Server.
10. Right-click on the Signs layer in the Table of Contents window and click Edit Features > Synchronize Local Edits with Server.
