Publish main line switching diagram viewer

The Main Line Switching Diagram Viewer application is a configuration of the ArcGIS Web AppBuilder. The application requires the main line switching diagram map you authored and geographic information from your organization.

Main Line Switching Diagram Viewer application

To configure the Main Line Switching Diagram Viewer application, complete the following steps:

  1. Create an app using Web AppBuilder and add the following:
    • Title: Main Line Switching Diagram Viewer
    • Summary: An app to locate tie switches and filter the high/medium voltage electric network by circuit. This application is designed to only show three phase lines and primary devices.
    • Tags: Electric, Switching
  2. Update the application's theme.
  3. In the Map tab, click Choose Web Map and choose the Main Line Switching Diagram map previously created.
  4. Click the Widgets tab, then click Set the widgets in this controller, and add the Group Filter widget to the application.
  5. Rename the Group Filter widget to Main Line Filter.
  6. Configure the Main Line Filter widget using the following parameters:
    • Filter Set Name: Main Line by Circuit ID.
    • Description: Filters 3 phase and main switching assets.
    • Preset Operator: Equals.
    • Preset Value: RMT003.
  7. Add and configure the filter layers and fields using the following settings:
    Layers Fields Use Value
    Primary Underground Conductor Feeder ID Checked
    Primary Overhead Conductor Feeder ID Unchecked
    Bus Bar Feeder ID Unchecked
    Switch Feeder ID Unchecked
    Circuit Breaker Feeder ID Unchecked
  8. Check Start in Simple View.
  9. Check Zoom to.
  10. Click Ok.
  11. Hover over the lower-left corner of the Main Line Filter widget and set the widget to open when application loads.
  12. Configure the application's attributes to meet your organization's branding requirements.
  13. Save the Main Line Switching Diagram Viewer.
  14. Browse to the Main Line Switching Diagram Viewer and edit the item details:
    • Thumbnail image: Main Line Switching Diagram Viewer Thumbnail
    • Description: An app to locate tie switches and filter the high/medium voltage electric network by circuit. Designed to only show three phase lines and primary devices.
    • Tags: Electric, Switching
