The Gas Utility Trace Tools toolbar is a series of reporting tools to improve a map technician's experience when working with infrastructure data.
Tool | Tool Name | Description |
Connected Isolation Trace | Identifies all assets between valves and squeeze offs on a Geometric Network. All selectable features affected by the trace are selected, drawn as graphics or returned in a set of layers. You can define additional options in the configuration file.
Re-Run Connected Isolation Trace | Runs the Connected Isolation Trace on Geometric Network features from flags defined on the network. Run the Connected Isolation Trace first or add a flag using the Add a Flag tool.
Summary Isolation Trace | Runs the Connected Isolation Trace on selected mains. The trace summarizes the number of valves, meters, critical meters, and service connections in the Geometric Network that would be affected if a break occurred on each selected main. The results are stored in a separate feature class. This tool is an involved and long process. It is suggested to run this tool on small chunks of data at a time. You can define the summary layer and additional details in the configuration file.
Add a Flag | Create a junction or an edge flag at the user-defined location.
Add a Barrier | Create a junction or an edge barrier at the user-defined location.
Remove a Flag or Barrier | Remove a junction or an edge flag.
Batch Load Barriers | Load multiple junctions or edge barriers from a user-defined layer.
Change Operable Status of a Valve | Changes the status of a valve from operable to non-operable. You can configure the operable and non-operable field in the configuration file.
Clear Trace Results | Clear all flags, barriers, results, and selected features.
Export Selected Features to Excel | Exports all selected features to Excel.
Identify Selected | Loads all currently selected features into the Identify dialog box.
Select Junctions by Edge Count | Presents a dialog box for selecting all junctions (points) in a geometric network by the number of edges to which they connect.
Show Config Information (Gas) | Presents a dialog box that allows you to view the currently loaded configuration file along with its location and load another configuration file. |
