Overview

Ad hoc information, whether it be vegetation issues, unsafe conditions, or general network notes, is important to know at a utility. The map notes solution allows utility staff to record this information using a mobile device or web browser. Operation managers can then use this information to create work orders and better manage field operations.

Map Notes is a configuration of ArcGIS to use in the field or office. Field crews can access Map Notes on a mobile device using ArcGIS Collector. Additionally, office staff can use Map Notes on a web browser using a web application template.
