The Military Overlay Information Model comes with two layer packages that contain a number of different layers that allow you to build your own overlay.
To explore the layer packages, complete the following steps:
- Explore the Military Overlay 2525D feature group layers in the Table of Contents.
- The Military Overlay 2525D group layers contain point, line, and polygon layers for Air, Sea, and Land units, equipment, and installations. Control Measure and METOC points, lines, and polygons are also included. Finally, there are feature layers for Activities, Civilian, Space, Signal Intercept, and Cyberspace features.
- Explore the Feature Templates for each feature layer.
- In order to do this, select the Military Overlay 2525D feature group layer in the Table of Contents and click on the Create button in the Edit ribbon. This will bring up the Create Features pane, which is the location of the various feature templates included in the layer package.
- Explore the Military Overlay 2525B Change 2 feature group layers and their associated feature templates by repeating the steps above.
