Before beginning with the Visibility and Range template, it will be helpful to set a few options relating to how you will work with and store your data and results.

1. Open the VisibilityAndRange.mxd.
2. Set your Geoprocessing Options to allow the overwrite of outputs of geoprocessing operations.
3. Set your Current and Scratch workspaces.
