The Crowdsource Reporter configurable application template consumes maps that are accessible to the general public and named users in your ArcGIS organization. Create a Community Impact map and share it with the general public and other stakeholders. They can then access the application on their smartphone, tablets, and desktop computers.
Community Impact
To create a Community Impact map, complete the following steps:
- Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
-
Create a map to collect community impact reports from the general public, by completing the following workflows:
- Choose a basemap.
- Add the CommunityImpact layer to the map. Optionally, if you have a layer containing event or disaster locations you want to get feedback on then add the layer to the map.
- Configure pop-up for the CommunityImpact - Social Impact and CommunityImpact - Service Impact layers, as well as the CommunityImpact - Comment and CommunityImpact - ServiceComment tables using the list of field attributes option.
-
Save the map as Community Impact and add the following tags and summary:
- Tags: Community Impact, Resilience, Public Information
- Summary: A map used in the Community Impact application that enables the public to provide community impact reports.
- If you added a reference layer then ensure you disable editing on the layer.
- Save the map and share it with everyone and your Community Impact group.
-
Browse to the map and edit the item details:
- Thumbnail image: Your image.
- Description: A map used in the Community Impact application that enables the public to provide community impact reports.
- Set map options by disabling Routing, Measure Tool, and Basemap Selector.
