Set up map book

The Emergency Management maps are used by emergency management and public safety staff to produce a standard set of maps used in briefing and response activities. Before you begin map production, add the Data Driven Pages toolbar to the map so you access the tools for creating a map book.

To add the toolbars, complete the following steps:

  1. Browse to the MapsandGeodatabase folder and open IncidentActionPlan.mxd.
  2. In ArcMap, open the Data Driven Pages toolbar by browsing to Customize > Toolbars > Data Driven Pages.
  3. Begin using the map.

When you're ready to use the maps with your data, start by downloading the ArcGIS for Local Government Information Model. It can be used to create the empty geodatabase you'll need to migrate your data.
