Crime Analysis

Crime Analysis Solution (using add-in version 2018.6.26 through 2019.10.16) is no longer available to download and has been replaced with new capabilities in the new Crime Analysis solution.

Overview

Crime Analysis can be used to conduct a series of key analysis functions (for example, Scan, Analyze, Respond, and Assess). Crime Analysis includes an ArcGIS Pro Add-in that organizes existing geoprocessing tools used in crime analysis workflows, and provides several new tools that support data management, tactical and strategic analysis, investigative analysis, and information sharing needs. The tools are provided in ArcGIS Pro context menus and on a single ribbon that simplifies their use by crime analysts.

June 2020
  • Crime Analysis is now available in the ArcGIS Solutions app.
November 2019
  • A resolution to a bug where clicking Crime Analysis buttons will crash ArcGIS Pro when the operating system format is a non-decimal symbol (BUG-000125783).
  • The latest release of the Crime Analysis Add-In (2019.10.16).
October 2019
  • Resolved an issue where string files in some languages were incorrectly displaying partial English translation strings.
  • The latest release of the Crime Analysis Add-In (2019.10.1).
June 2019
  • Added new Repeat and Near Repeat analysis tools (previously included in stand-alone ArcMap solution template).
  • Added a series of cell phone analysis tools that support investigative analysis of device communication (previously included in stand-alone ArcMap solution template).
  • A resolution to a bug in the Calculate Prediction Zone tool does not run in ArcGIS Pro (BUG-000117315).
  • Added a series of maps to the Crime Analysis ArcGIS Pro project package that support cell phone and repeat and near repeat analysis workflows.
  • A resolution to a bug in the Import Records tool where using a versioned feature class caused the following error "objects in this class cannot be updated outside of an edit session"(BUG-000119947).
  • Added the XY Table to Point and Geocode Addresses tools to the Add Data button in the Crime Analysis ribbon.
  • Added support for German and Polish languages (ArcGIS Pro 2.4 or later only).
  • Updated the Incident Path tool to optionally support the summarization of repeated paths.
  • The latest release of the Crime Analysis Add-In (2019.6.20).
October 2018
  • The latest release of the Crime Analysis Add-In (2018.10.5) including a resolution to a bug in the add-in certificate that caused Crime Analysis to show as an untrusted item.
September 2018
  • An enhancement to the Select By Date and Time tool that allows the selection of data by one or many years.
  • The Enrich Layer tool has been deprecated and replaced with the new Enrich tool.
  • A series of enhancements and improvements to support enterprise database management systems (DBMS).
  • An update to the Density Change symbology.
  • A series of improvements and bug fixes to the Crime Analysis and Record Import tools.
