Create map

ArcGIS Web AppBuilder application consumes maps that are accessible to the general public and named users in your ArcGIS organization. Create a Opioid Treatment Locator map and share it with the general public. They can then access the application on their smartphone, tablets, and desktop computers.

Opioid Treatment Locator map

To create an Opioid Treatment Locator map, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
  2. Create a map used to find opioid treatment facilities, by completing the following workflows:
    • Choose a basemap.
    • Add the HealthFacilities_public, MedicalFacilities_public, PrescriptionDrugLocations_public layers to the map, then remove the Homeless, Alternative Medicine, Drug Drop Off layers and Drug Weight table. Rename the MedicalFacilities layer to Hospitals and Clinics and HealthFacilities_public - Health and Human Services layer to Public Health and Human Services, then remove PrescriptionDrugLocations_public - and HealthFacilities_public - from the remaining layers name.
    • Configure pop-up for the all of the layers using the list of field attributes option.
    • Save the map as Opioid Treatment Locator and add the following tags and summary:
      • Tags: Opioid Treatment, Health, Human Services, Public Health.
      • Summary: A map used in the Opioid Treatment Locator application to locate drug treatment, mental health, and other health and human service providers in a community.
  3. Save the map and share it with everyone.
  4. Browse to the map and edit the item details:
    • Thumbnail image: Your image.
    • Description: A map used in the Opioid Treatment Locator application to locate drug treatment, mental health, and other health and human service providers in a community.
  5. Set map options by disabling Routing, Measure Tool, and Basemap Selector.
