The Birth Outcome Analysis solution includes a sample data and set of tools for understanding birth outcome patterns across a state. Before you begin using the Birth Outcome Analysis map, open the Spatial Statistics Tools toolbox so you can access the Optimized Hot Spot Analysis tool.

To access the Optimized Hot Spot Analysis tools, complete the following steps:

1. Open the BirthOutcomes.mxd.
2. In ArcMap, open the Catalog window, browse to the Spatial Statistics Tools toolbox > Mapping Clusters toolset in the ArcToolbox window.
3. Begin using the map.
