Create map

Tactical Operation Surveillance can be used to gather field intelligence using ArcGIS Collector. Create the Tactical Operation Surveillance map and share it with your Law Enforcement personnel.

Tactical Operation Surveillance map

To create an Tactical Operation Surveillance map, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
  2. Create a map to allow Law Enforcement personnel to collect Tactical Operation Plan information, by completing the following workflows:
    • Choose a basemap.
    • Add the TacticalOperationPlans layer to the map and remove TacticalOperationPlans - from the layers name.
    • Configure pop-up for all of the layers using the list of field attributes option.
    • Save the map as Tactical Operation Surveillance and add the following tags and summary:
      • Tags: Local Government, Tactical Operation Plans, Law Enforcement, Police, Tactical Operation Surveillance
      • Summary: A map used by officers to collect field intelligence that supports tactical operation plans at a given location.
  3. Browse to the map and edit the item details:
    • Thumbnail image: Your image.
    • Description: A map used by officers to collect field intelligence that supports tactical operation plans at a given location.
  4. Set map options by disabling Routing and Measure Tool.
  5. Share the map with law enforcement officers responsible for collecting intelligence in the field.
  6. Sign in to ArcGIS Collector app to access the Tactical Operation Surveillance map.
