Analyze and share information

Once you have sourced and aggregated the data needed to develop a comprehensive picture of the vulnerability across your geography, the next step is to begin to analyze the information to gain an understanding of both underlying vulnerability, and vulnerability to specific hazards.

Summarize and analyze data

  1. Double-click the Summarize underlying vulnerability task. This provides you with an aggregation of the vulnerability within each jurisdiction so that you can compare between jurisdictions.
  2. Double-click the Summarize hazard specific vulnerability task. This task allows you to calculate the number of assets that fall within a historical hazard area, or within a high future likelihood hazard area. You can also summarize specific fields, for instance total replacement value within a particular area of interest. The task also helps you identify areas with both high hazard risk and high vulnerability.
