The Tax Map Book solution includes an ArcGIS Pro project and sample data you can use to explore a tax map book as well as tools to import the Local Government Information Model schema and assemble map books. Before using the tools with your data, familiarize yourself with the contents of the Tax Map Book project.

To review the Tax Map Book project, complete the following steps:

1. Start the ArcGIS Pro application and open the project package from the active portal.
2. On the View tab, in the Windows group, click Catalog Pane.
3. In the Catalog pane, expand Maps and review the maps provided.
4. In the Catalog pane, expand Toolboxes and to review the toolboxes and tools provided.
5. In the Catalog pane, expand Layouts and review the layouts provided.
6. In the Catalog pane, expand Tasks and double-click on Tax Map Book task.
7. In the Tasks pane, expand the Getting started task group and follow the tasks to create a new Local Government Information Model for your organization, load your source data, and update Tax Map Book data sources.
8. Expand the Create map book task group and follow the tasks to create a Tax Map Book.
