Create map

The ArcGIS Collector and ArcGIS Field Map apps consume maps that are accessible to named users in your ArcGIS organization. Create a Street Furniture Inventory map and share it with individuals collecting Street Furniture in your organization. Field staff can then access the map on their smartphones or tablets when they sign in to the ArcGIS Collector or ArcGIS Field Maps.

Street Furniture Inventory map

To create an Street Furniture map, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
  2. Create a map used to inventory street furniture, by completing the following workflows:
    • Choose a basemap.
    • Add the StreetFurniture layer to the map and rename it to Street Furniture.
    • Configure pop-up for the Street Furniture layer using the list of field attributes option.
    • Save the map as Street Furniture Inventory and add the following tags and summary:
      • Tags: Street Furniture, Benches, Bollards, Fountains, Street Furniture Inventory, Public Works
      • Summary: Street Furniture Inventory is a map that can be used by field staff to inventory traffic barriers, benches, fountains, waste receptacles, and other pieces of equipment installed along streets and roads.
  3. Set map options by disabling Routing and Measure Tool.
  4. Share the map with field staff responsible for inventorying street furniture.
  5. Sign in to ArcGIS Collector or ArcGIS Field Maps to access the Street Furniture Inventory map.
