To get started with Military Aspects of Terrain you will need to create some intermediate datasets.

1. In the Catalog Tree navigate to the MAoT template folder, template location\Military Aspects of Terrain Template\Maps\Toolbox.
2. Open Generate Intermediate Layers tool in the Military Aspects of Terrain Toolbox.tbx. The Generate Intermediate Layers tool opens.
3. Next to Input UTDS Feature Dataset browse to the UTDS feature dataset in the utds.gdb connection file you opened in Set up Operational Environment.
4. For Operational Environment geodatabase connection browse to the MAoT.gdb geodatabase connection you connected to in Set up Operational Environment.
5. Click OK.
