Publish services

Assessment and property data can be accessed in an operational view with the Value Analysis Dashboard. Select a deployment method using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS for Server or ArcGIS Enterprise and follow the steps below to publish the services required for the Value Analysis Dashboard.

Value Analysis Dashboard

To publish Value Analysis Dashboard services, complete the following steps:

Publish GeneralPurpose.mxd and ImageryReferenceOverlay.mxd as cached map services using ArcGIS for Server or ArcGIS Enterprise or as tiled services using ArcGIS Online. When publishing, make the following changes in the Service Editor:
- Choose the Best for the Anti-Aliasing parameter in the Parameters tab.
- Choose Force for the Text Anti-Aliasing parameter in the Parameters tab.
- Disable KML in the Capabilities tab if publishing the service using ArcGIS for Server or ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Import the MIXED90CacheSettings.xml cache tiling scheme from the Application folder and extend the Levels of Detail slider across all levels of detail in the Caching tab.
Note:

Add a high-resolution imagery layer to ImageryReferenceOverlay.mxd and save the map document as ImageryHybrid.mxd before publishing the cached map service. Place this imagery below the 144K group layer in the Table of Contents window. Use imagery from ArcGIS Online (imagery is not provided for the City of Naperville in the download) to publish and serve an Imagery Hybrid basemap with the sample data from the City of Naperville.

Note:

If you choose to create tiles on demand, some tiles must be generated before accessing the service in the application.
Publish AssessmentOperations.mxd as a hosted feature layer using ArcGIS Online or as a map service using ArcGIS for Server or ArcGIS Enterprise.
Sign in to your ArcGIS Online organization.

Note:

If you published the AssessmentOperations, GeneralPurpose, and TaxParcel services using ArcGIS for Server or ArcGIS Enterprise, add the services to your ArcGIS Online organization before completing the remaining steps.
Browse to the AssessmentOperations service and edit the item details:
- Title: AssessmentOperations.
- Thumbnail image: Your image.
- Description: Sales, foreclosures, assessment appeals and neighborhood characteristics derived from tax parcels and Tax/Assessment information.
- Tags: Sales, Foreclosures, Assessment Appeals, Assessment Neighborhoods.
- Sync: Disable Sync.
- Disable Editing.
Browse to the GeneralPurpose service and edit the item details:
- Title: GeneralPurpose.
- Thumbnail image: Your image.
- Description: This basemap provides context for a wide range of people and supports a variety of application needs within a local government. It includes structures, roads, major facilities, water features, and boundaries.
- Tags: General Purpose, Basemap, Parcels.
Browse to the TaxParcel service and edit the item details:
- Title: TaxParcel.
- Thumbnail image: Your image.
- Description: This basemap provides tax parcel information to the general public and other consumers within an organization. The content presented in this map emulates hard copy map products used throughout local government. The PLSS and the subdivided lands provide a navigation framework and additional detail is provided at larger scales.
- Tags: Tax Parcel, Basemap, Subdivisions, Lots.
