Set up the planning map

The Capital Improvement Planning map is used to estimate the cost of capital improvement projects. Before you begin, add the capital planning toolbar to the map so you can access the tools and features of the Add-ins.

To add the toolbar, complete the following steps:

  1. Within the Capital Improvement Planning download, browse to the MapsandGeodatabase folder and open WaterUtilityCapitalPlanning.mxd.
  2. In ArcMap, open the Capital Planning toolbar by navigating to Customize > Toolbars > Capital Planning.
  3. Begin using the planning map.
