Create Opioid Awareness story map

The Opioid Awareness story map leverages overdose and death maps you produced with Opioid Awareness Maps and can be used by public health and safety staff to communicate the severity of the opioid epidemic in their community.

Deploy Opioid Awareness story map

The ArcGIS Solutions Deployment Add-In includes a series of tasks that have been optimized to deploy ArcGIS Solutions in your organization. It includes a series of tasks and tools that can be used to configure the solution to meet specific needs in your organization and migrate your data if needed.

To deploy Opioid Awareness story map, complete the following steps:

  1. Start ArcGIS Pro and create or open a project.
  2. On the Share tab, in the Deploy group, click the ArcGIS Solutions button.
  3. Double-click Sign in to ArcGIS organization in the Tasks pane. Once you have completed the step, click the Finish button to proceed to the next step.
  4. Double-click Deploy an ArcGIS Solution in the Tasks pane. Select Opioid Awareness story map and click Deploy. Once complete, click on the green check mark next to the solution to review it in your ArcGIS organization.
  5. Click the Finish button once you have completed the step.

Configure Opioid Awareness story map

To configure the Opioid Awareness story map, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to the Story Maps website.
  2. Click My Stories and click on the Opioid Awareness story map.
  3. Click Edit Story. Review the Opioid Awareness story map and identify changes you would like to make before sharing your Opioid Awareness story map.
  4. Add overdose, death, and naloxone maps produced for your community with Opioid Awareness Maps.
  5. Add your Drug Activity Reporter, Opioid Treatment Locator, Drug Drop-off Locator, and Pain Management Locator applications.
  6. Remove any story map sections you do not want to include in your story map.
  7. Update each section title and text to meet specific needs of your organization.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Share your Opioid Awareness story map with everyone.
