Create Radial Line of Sight

Once you have identified the highest point in a particular area, the next task is to determine what can be seen from that point. To do this, use the Radial Line of Sight tool to understand what can be seen from the highest point, or to investigate a number of possible observation points.

Determining Radial Line of Sight from the highest point

  1. Run the Radial Line of Sight model tool.
  2. In the map, click on the point feature that was added to your map from the Highest Point model tool, the Radial Line of Sight model tool will use this point as an input for Observer location (you can select one or many observers).
  3. Select your Input Surface.
  4. Select an output name and geodatabase location.

This workflow has guided you through the steps of performing a radial line of sight analysis.
