Configure applications

Drug Drop-off Calculator can be used by public safety staff to tabulate and report the weight of unused prescription drugs turned in at drop-off locations.

Drug Drop-off Calculator application

To configure the Drug Drop-off Calculator application, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
  2. Create an app from the Drug Drop-off Calculator map using the Crowdsource Polling configurable application template, then share it with users inside your organization responsible for drop-off locations.
  3. Optionally, edit the item details to provide a description and a thumbnail image.

Drug Drop-off Reports application

To configure the Drug Drop-off Reports application, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
  2. Create an app using Web AppBuilder and add the following:
    • Title: Drug Drop-off Reports.
    • Tags: Drug Drop-off, Prescriptions, Naloxone Distribution, Weights, Reports, Public Health, Law Enforcement, Fire Service.
    • Summary: An application used by public safety staff to share current and historical weights with internal stakeholders or the general public.
  3. Click the Theme tab and choose the Plateau Theme, then choose the Style and Layout for your Drug Drop-off Reports application.
  4. Click the Map tab and if necessary click Choose Web Map, then browse to the Drug Drop-off Reports map and click OK.
  5. Click the Widgets tab, then click Set the widget in this controller and remove the Legend widget and Layer List widget.
  6. Click + to open the widget collection and choose the Related Table Charts widget, and then click OK.
  7. Change the name of the Related Table Charts widget to Drop-off Reports.
  8. Click Add New and choose the Drug Drop-off Locations layer and the Drug Weight related table, and then click OK.
  9. In the Setting section, do the following:
    • Type Prescription Drugs Collected into the Section title text box.
    • Choose Bar chart as the Chart type.
    • Choose the weight field from the Data series field drop-down.
    • Choose the submitdt field from the Label field drop-down.
    • Choose Single color as the Chart color.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Hover over the Drop-off Reports widget, then click the dot and change it to dark green, so the widget automatically opens when the app starts.
  12. Click + to open the widget collection and choose the About widget, and then click OK.
  13. Provide information about the application in the text editor, and then click OK.
  14. Click the Attribute tab and click the logo icon, then browse to your Drug Drop-off Reports application icon.
  15. Choose an icon and click Open.
  16. Save the application.
  17. Browse to the Drug Drop-off Reports application and edit the item details:
    • Thumbnail Image: Your image
    • Summary: An application used by public safety staff to share current and historical weights with internal stakeholders or the general public.
  18. Share the application with users inside your organization responsible for responsible for drop-off locations.
  19. Launch your Drug Drop-off Reports application.
