Restaurant Inspection Results

Configure application

The Restaurant Inspection Results application is a configuration of ArcGIS Web AppBuilder. This application consumes the Restaurant Inspection Results map you authored and geographic information from your organization.

To configure the Restaurant Inspection Results application, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
  2. Create an app using Web AppBuilder and add the following:
    • Title: Restaurant Inspection Results.
    • Tags: Health, Inspection, Restaurant.
    • Description: Restaurant Inspection Results is a configuration of ArcGIS Web AppBuilder that can be used by the general public to locate current information regarding restaurant inspections.
  3. Click the Theme tab and choose the Foldable Theme, then choose the Style and Layout for your Restaurant Inspection Results application.
  4. Click the Map tab and if necessary click Choose Web Map, then browse to the Restaurant Inspection Results map and click OK.
  5. Click + to open the widget collection and choose the Search widget, and then click OK.
  6. Change the name of the Search widget to Search Restaurants.
  7. In the Search Source Settings section, click Add search source > Feature Layer.
  8. Choose the RestaurantInspections_Public layer and click OK.
  9. Type Restaurant Inspections Results into the Name text box.
  10. Type Search Restaurants into the Placeholder Text text box.
  11. Click the pencil icon to add search fields. Check the check box next to City, ZIP, Establishment Name, County Name, and then click OK.
  12. Click the Display Field drop-down and choose Establishment Name.
  13. Click OK.
  14. Hover over the Search Restaurants widget, then click the dot and change it to dark green, so the widget automatically opens when the app starts.
  15. Click + to open the widget collection and choose the About widget, and then click OK.
  16. Provide information about the application in the text editor, and then click OK.
  17. Click the Attribute tab and click the logo icon, then browse to your Restaurant Inspection Results application icon.
  18. Choose an icon and click Open.
  19. Browse to the Restaurant Inspection Results application and edit the item details:
    • Thumbnail Image: Your image.
    • Description: Restaurant Inspection Results is a configuration of ArcGIS Web AppBuilder that can be used by the general public to locate current information regarding restaurant inspections.
  20. Save the application.
  21. Launch your Restaurant Inspection Results application.
