Sewer batch job

Below is a list of the data quality-control checks, broken out by groups, included in the Sewer batch job delivered with Data Reviewer for Water Utilities. These preconfigured checks are just a sample of the important checks that can be used for validating, maintaining, and ensuring the integrity of sewer data.

Group name Description
Composite Check Validates features based on multiple conditions. This check is configured to identify sewer manholes that do not intersect sewer gravity mains or pressurized mains. Orphan manholes are identified as errors.
Domain Checks Validates feature and table attributes according to values specified by the coded value and range domains of the geodatabase.
Duplicate Geometry Checks Identifies co-located sewer manholes, cleanouts, and service points.
Execute SQL Checks This group contains checks configured to identify:
  • Sewer gravity mains containing upstream elevation values lesser than the downstream elevation values
  • Sewer manholes containing invert elevation values greater than the rim elevation
Geometry on Geometry Checks This group contains checks configured to identify:
  • Overlapping sewer gravity mains
  • Overlapping sewer pressurized lines
  • Overlapping sewer lateral lines
Unique ID Check Searches for duplicate values in a table or feature class across the entire geodatabase. Features with the same FacilityID are identified as errors.
Valency Checks This group contains checks configured to identify:
  • Sewer manholes that do not have connected outgoing pipes. This is the case where the sewerage terminates at a manhole, based on the digitized direction of the pipes connected to it.
  • Downstream elevation values of sewer gravity mains that are less than invert elevation or greater than and equal to rim elevation of the connected sewer manhole.
  • Upstream elevation values of sewer gravity mains that are less than invert elevation or greater than and equal to rim elevation of the connected sewer manhole.
