Use this workflow to perform analysis operations. Access these capabilities, including:

• Viewshed Analysis
• Waypoints and Routes

from the Tools button:

Viewshed Analysis

Perform the following steps to use the viewshed analysis tool.

1. Click the Tools button to open the toolbar.
2. Click the Viewshed button and follow the form’s instructions to:

1. Click a point on the map.
2. Select a viewshed radius in one of various ways: a second point, a radius, or preset equipment radius.
3. Click the Go button to start the analysis.

The viewshed is calculated and displayed on the map.

3. To hide the viewshed, go to Main Menu > Overlays and turn off the viewshed overlay.

Creating Waypoints and Routes

You can use the Route panel to create a route with waypoints. To create a route, tap the Route button and follow the Route panel’s instructions.

Perform the following to create waypoints and routes.

1. Click the Tools button to open the toolbar.
2. Click the Route button to open the Route Form. Follow the form’s instructions to add routes and waypoints.

3. Click the map to add a waypoint.
4. Drag the map to draw a route segment.
5. Toggle the Draw Route button if you need to temporarily disable the route editor to navigate on the map.
6. Click the Undo button to remove the last route segment or waypoint created.
7. Click the Clear button to delete all routes and waypoints. The Clear operation cannot be undone.
8. To hide the route, go to Main Menu > Overlays and turn off the route overlay.
