Use this workflow to learn to use the Vehicle Commander navigation capabilities.
- To pan the map, click and drag, or use the navigation buttons.
- To zoom in or out, use the mouse wheel, pinch, or use the navigation buttons.
- Press Follow Me to enable or disable GPS following.
- When depressed, the map will following the current GPS location.
- Follow Me mode automatically disables when the user pans the map.
- Select a Navigation Mode. Navigational modes available are:
- North Up: the map keeps north up, until the user manually rotates the map (with the V and B keys, or rotating with two fingers).
- Track Up: the map rotates so that the current GPS direction is up.
- Waypoint Up: the map rotates so that the direction from the current GPS location to the selected waypoint is up.
- To select a simulated or an onboard GPS source, click Main Menu > Options > GPS Options.
- To navigate directly to an MGRS coordinate, click Main Menu > Navigation.
Enter a valid MGRS string, then type Enter or press the Go button.
