Set up editing map

The Address Data Management editing map is used to collect and manage road centerlines, facilities, site addresses, and related mailing address data. Before you begin editing, add the Address Management toolbars to the editing map so you can access the tools and features of the add-ins.

To add the toolbars, complete the following steps:

  1. Browse to the MapsandGeodatabase folder and open AddressDataManagement.mxd.
  2. In ArcMap, open the Address Editing toolbar by browsing to Customize > Toolbars > Address Editing.
  3. In ArcMap, open the Attribute Assistant toolbar by browsing to Customize > Toolbars > Attribute Assistant.
  4. Begin using the editing map.

When you're ready to use the editing map with your data, start by downloading the ArcGIS for Local Government Information Model. It can be used to create the empty geodatabase you'll need to migrate your data.
