Set up editing map

To use the Attribute Assistant for your editing workflows, an editing map is required. Before you begin editing your data, add the Attribute Assistant toolbar and required tables to the editing map so you can access the tools and features of the Attribute Assistant Add-In.

Attribute Assistant toolbar

Once the add-in is installed, add the Attribute Assistant toolbar to your editing map so you can access the tools and features of the add-in.

To add the toolbar, complete the following steps:

  1. Open your editing map.
  2. In ArcMap, open the toolbar by navigating to Customize > Toolbars > Attribute Assistant.
  3. Begin using the editing map.

Dynamic value table

In order to use the Attribute Assistant for your editing workflows, a Dynamic Value table is required to be in the editing map.

To add the Dynamic Value table, complete the following steps:

  1. Open your editing map.
  2. Add the dynamic value table to the editing map. Be sure that this table is in the same geodatabase as the feature classes or layers for which you will be configuring the Attribute Assistant rules.

  4. Begin using the editing map.
