The MasterStreetName table is used to store a master list of valid street names. This master list of street names is used to populate address attributes in the RoadCenterline and SiteAddress feature classes. This table includes the unique elements of a road name (direction, name, type, and so on) and works with the Attribute Assistant Add-In to create a full road name and populate official road names when creating new road centerlines and site addresses. In addition, when updates are made to the MasterStreetName table, the changes can be pushed to the RoadCenterline and SiteAddress features to maintain data integrity. New road names should be entered in the MasterStreetName table before adding new road centerlines to the geographic information system (GIS).

To update the MasterStreetName table, complete the following steps:

1. Start an edit session.
2. Open the MasterStreetName table.
3. Add a new road name to the table, or update elements of an existing road name.
4. Save your edits.
