Roads are line segments representing public roadways or streets. These are a subset of the road segments found in the RoadCenterline feature class and only those actively managed by a local government public works organization.

To add new roads, complete the following steps:

1. Start an edit session.
2. In the Create Features window, click the Streets feature template.
3. Click the Line construction tool.
4. Click the Trace tool on the Editor toolbar.
5. Add the new roads to the map. Draw the new roads by starting at an intersection and tracing along an existing feature in the All Roads (Reference) layer.
6. Save your edits.
