Clerk-Recorder Office

Author and share your geographic content

The ArcGIS Solutions for Local Government includes a series of focused maps and apps you can deploy in your ArcGIS Online organization. The focused maps and apps should be deployed with your own data and will help you address key business challenges in your organization.

To author and share geographic content, complete the following steps:

  1. Using an Internet browser, go to ArcGIS Online and sign in with your Clerk-Recorder's Office Publisher account.
  2. Add existing items to your organization or publish your maps and data as web services on ArcGIS Online. At a minimum, each item description should include the following:
    • Name
    • Icon
    • Summary
    • Description
    • Tags
  3. Share the items with a group you just created.

Create your Clerk-Recorder's Office user accounts

To create Clerk-Recorder's Office user accounts, complete the following steps:

  1. Using an Internet browser, go to ArcGIS Online and sign in with your Administrator account.
  2. Create a user account for each individual that will fill the following roles in your organization.
    Role Description
    Clerk The Clerk is the official keeper of the record, responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, retrieval and safeguarding of public records and conducting fair and equitable elections.
    Election Supervisor The Election Supervisor, under direction of the Clerk, is responsible for ballot design and assignment; election equipment maintenance, preparation and testing; tabulation; and election night reporting.
    Property Mapper The Property Mapper is responsible for creating, maintaining and updating real property maps and survey control.
  3. Begin using your ArcGIS Online organization to develop and share focused maps and apps in your Clerk-Recorder's Office.
